Erik has previously worked for 10 years at Philips in various parts of the business and in different roles, most recently at Philips Healthcare in R&D management. Since his start at EasyScan in 2015 he headed the operations (supply chain/technical support) and R&D team. In 2017, Erik became the CEO. Erik has a PhD in Physics from the University of Twente.

In the past month a number of articles appeared in German trade journals of EasyScan customers that share their experience with the EasyScan and how it impacts their business.

In the EYECOM of this month, Felix Mats Weber and Stefanie Poggenpohl from Sehenswert in Hattingen share their experience with the EasyScan. Not only do they explain that it is “Ganz Easy” to implement retinal screening in an optician store. The feedback of their customers when they, often for the first time, can see the back of their eye, is extremely positive. This has clearly having it an impact on the loyalty of their customers. In the DOZ – Tim Findeisen from Augenoptik Findeisen in Leipzig, discusses the use of Telemedicine in combination with the EasyScan. After his initial purchase of an EasyScan for one of his three shops, it quickly turned out so well that also the other 2 branches were equiped with EasyScans. This allows him now to offer a constintent service across all locations. He shares an anecdote of catching an acute eye problem and thus saving the eye of the customer, that was completely unaware of the problem.
